EVERETT—The body of 4-year-old Ariel Garcia was located in a location outside of Everett around 5:55 p.m., Thursday, March 28, according to Everett Police. The family has been notified.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death. Major Crimes detectives from the Everett Police Department are actively involved in this case and are investigating this incident as a homicide. There is no perceived threat to the community, police said.
Earlier on Thursday afternoon, an extensive, regional effort involving multiple jurisdictions, including the FBI, searched Ariel Garcia, a 4-year-old Hispanic male missing under suspicious circumstances and who law enforcement believed to be in danger.
The Everett Police is still seeking the public’s help obtaining information in this homicide case. Specifically, anyone who has seen, or has video surveillance of Ariel or a steel blue 2013 Nissan Sentra SV WA license plate CJC9954, on Wednesday, March 27, can submit tips by phone to 425-257-8450 or by email to tips@everettwa.gov.

The vehicle of interest was located in Clark County and is currently in police custody.
Ariel was last seen the morning of Wednesday, March 27, in an apartment in the 4800 block of Vesper Drive in South Everett.
Because the investigation is ongoing, additional information is still being gathered and confirmed.
