One dead, one injured in Lynnwood after shooting on New Year’s Eve

LYNNWOOD—The hunt is on for two suspects involved in a New Year’s Eve shooting that left one juvenile dead and another injured near Chrimar Apartments located at 196th St and 68th Avenue West in Lynnwood. This is believed to be an isolated incident with no active threat to the public, according to Lynnwood Police.

On Tuesday December 31, at approximately, 8:19 p.m., Lynnwood Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 19700 block of 68th Ave West.

Officers arrived to find a deceased juvenile male in the parking lot and another injured juvenile male nearby. The injured juvenile was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two suspects fled on foot and are still outstanding and is currently an active investigation.
