Annual ā€œWorking Waterfrontā€ & ā€œThrowback Thursdayā€ Harbor Tours Return

Back by popular demand, this summer, the Port will once again offer its on-the-water, community sails on select Wednesdays and Thursdays in July and August, including four ā€œWorking Waterfrontā€ and five ā€œThrowback Thursdayā€ tour options.

For these one-hour tours, the Port will take 60 passengers aboard the open-air Jetty Island Ferry for a fun and educational waterfront experience.

Port of Everett ā€œWorking Waterfrontā€ Harbor Tours for 2025 are available Wednesday evenings on July 16 and 30, and Aug. 13 and 27. This tour explores the diverse roles the Port plays on the waterfront, from operation of its international seaport, the largest public marina on the West Coast, and real estate developments, to environmental stewardship, public access and more. Plus, depending on whatā€™s in port, riders may see cargo operations in action.

If youā€™re more of a history buff, consider booking the throwback tour. The Port is partnering once again with Historic Everett to offer ā€œThrowback Thursdayā€ Historic Everett Waterfront Harbor Tours on five Thursday evenings in 2025 ā€“ July 10 and 24, and Aug. 7, 21 and 28.

The tour covers local history dating back to Everettā€™s former mill town days, when lumber and shingle mills lined the bay, and commercial fishing, boat building and maritime industries emerged at the Everett waterfront. An Everett historian will point out where many of these long-gone businesses operated decades ago and their impact on Everettā€™s economy.

The summer harbor tours run 6-7 p.m. and the cost is $10 per person (plus applicable taxes and fees). Children 2 and under ride free but still need a ticket.  Registration opens May 1, and is required to participate.
