MARYSVILLE—A new Construction & Maritime Career Day event series hosted by the Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce and industry partners is set for March 12-13, 2025, at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Marysville.

Career Day

Join us for this free, two-day program that seeks to introduce and inspire high school aged students and young adults in North Snohomish County to explore careers in the construction and maritime industries.

On Wednesday, March 12, from 4 – 6 p.m., the event is open to all community members, with families, students of all ages and the public encouraged to attend. On Thursday, March 13, from 9 – 11:30 a.m., the event is only open for high school field trips.

“With rising costs in traditional education pathways and a significant employment gap in the trades, it’s a great time for students and young adults entering the workforce to consider alternatives that await them here in North Snohomish County in construction and maritime,” said Ivonne Sepulveda, President/CEO of Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce. “We are grateful to our sponsors, Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology, Port of Everett, and Western Washington Sheet Metal JATC, and our many industry partners, for making this event possible.”

The event will be open house style with hands-on activities. There will be more than a dozen organizations at the career fair offering attendees a look at a wide variety of skills, career and education pathways, job opportunities and more. These organizations include:

The construction and maritime industries employ more than 450,000 people in Washington state, generate billions of dollars in revenue each year and are key drivers to our local and regional economies. Both industries offer the future workforce a vast array of career opportunities and pathways to living wage jobs.

In addition to the event sponsors, the chamber is also partnering with AGC Washington, Edmonds College Advanced Manufacturing Skills Center (AMSC), Construction Industry Training Council (CITC), Regional Apprenticeship Pathways (RAP) Program, Snohomish STEM, Economic Alliance of Snohomish County, Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center, and Workforce Snohomish to organize the event.
