Just after 3 p.m., May 5, Sheriff Deputies responded to Alderwood Middle School for a report of a kid on campus with a weapon (school was already dismissed for the day).

Upon arrival, Sheriff Deputies located the suspect, an 11-year-old boy, who fled on foot. Deputies then located the boy and took him into custody after two knives were recovered.

The modified after-school lockdown at the middle school was lifted. There were no injuries and there is no active threat to students or staff.

The 11-year-old boy is the same suspect apprehended in a related attempted stabbing incident at Alderwood Middle School in Lynnwood on Aoril 4, around 1:30 p.m.

A teacher intervened in the incident and prevented the juvenile victim from injury.
