MUKILTEO—At approximately 12:15 p.m. Friday, May 9, officers with the Mukilteo Police Department were dispatched to Kamiak High School following reports of a stabbing.
Mukilteo Police report that the stabbing occurred about 45 minutes before officers or school officials were notified. The School Resource Officer quickly identified the juvenile suspect and took him into custody who was later booked into the Denny Juvenile Detention Center on assault charges.
The male juvenile victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital by a friend. The victim is fully cooperating with investigators. Both suspect and victim were students at the high school.

This appears to be an isolated incident with no ongoing risk to students or the public and remains an ongoing investigation.
