EVERETT–More than 50 women interested in careers in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), firefighting and community service will participate in the Future Women in EMS and Fire Workshop, held May 31 and June 1 at the South County Fire Training Center in Everett. Media members are invited to attend a portion of this event.Â
The workshop provides hands-on training, live demonstrations, discussion panels and networking opportunities. Women firefighters and paramedics from across Snohomish County will lead the sessions. The workshop will be hosted by South County Fire in partnership with agencies including Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue, Everett Fire, Marysville Fire, Arlington Fire, Tulalip Bay Fire, Sultan Fire and Rescue, Mukilteo Fire Department, North County Fire, Granite Falls Fire, Snohomish County Fire District #4, Spokane Fire and Sky Valley Fire.
