US Carries Out Military Strikes on Three Iranian Nuclear Sites

WASHINGTON, D.C.—President Donald J Trump, joined by Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, announced that the United States military successfully conducted “precision” strikes against three key Iranian nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan—have been “completely and totally obliterated” The facilities were allegedly used to support Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity.

The White House added that a “full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow” and that all planes are now “outside of Iran air space” and are “on their way home.” The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed high levels of uranium enrichment at the Fordow nuclear facility.

According to CNN, the US used six B-2 bombers to drop a dozen “bunker buster” bombs on the Fordow nuclear, fired 30 TLAM cruise missiles at two other sites, Natanz and Isfahan and dropped two bunker busters on Natanz.

“A short time ago, the U.S. military carried out massive precision strikes on the three key nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan,” President Doanld J Trump announced. “Everybody heard those names for years as they built this horribly destructive enterprise. Our objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terror.

“Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace.”

President Trump on Truth Social posted that “ANY RETALIATION BY IRAN AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE MET WITH FORCE FAR GREATER THAN WHAT WAS WITNESSED TONIGHT.”

Washington Congress members Suzan DelBene and Adam Smith condemned Trump’s military operation against Iran calling it “unconstitutional” and risks escalating an already tense geopolitical landscape.

“Trump’s strike against Iran was unconstitutional. Under the Constitution, Congress has the explicit power to declare war and authorize military force,” Suzan DelBene (WA-01) released in a statement. “These actions risk drawing the U.S. and our service members into another war in the Middle East, without explanation. I join my colleagues in demanding immediate answers from the Administration.”

“I condemn in the strongest terms the President’s decision to order the U.S. military to strike Iran’s nuclear sites,” wrote Adam Smith (WA-09). “The President did not seek authorization from Congress or demonstrate that Iran posed an immediate threat to the security of the United States. Furthermore, the President failed to provide clear objectives for these actions and there are no guarantees that it will eliminate the possibility of Iran developing a nuclear weapon or how long it might set their program back.

“Engaging in direct conflict places U.S. service members and military sites in the Middle East squarely in the crosshairs of Iran and its many proxies. Tonight’s actions could further escalate tensions, destabilize the region, and drag the United States into an avoidable war.

“The way to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon and to protect American service members is through diplomacy and negotiation, not entering into direct conflict. The path that the President has chosen risks unleashing a wider war in the region that is both incredibly unpredictable and treacherous and that threatens the safety and security of the United States, Israel, and ultimately the world.”

Prior to today’s missile attack, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, issued a warning to the U.S. of “irreparable damage” and that “Americans should expect greater damage and heavier blows than ever before” amid escalating tensions with Israel.
