SNOHOMISH COUNTY—The North County Recycling and Transfer Station (NCRTS) in Arlington will close to all customers June 24-26 due to necessary repairs on its stationary crane. Â
The bad news is that the crane’s gears have failed, but the good news is that the machine is under warranty. Facility employees use the crane to process garbage disposed of at the facility by more than 500 customers daily. The Grizzly-brand crane was installed in 2023 as a replacement for another machine that logged 27,000 hours over 15 years of service.
