LYNNWOOD—A fatal collision between a motorcycle and a Jeep occurred late Tuesday night near the 12300 block of Beverly Park Road, in unincorporated Lynnwood resulting in the death of a 46-year-old motorcyclist.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) is examining the incident, which took place around 11:14 p.m., Tuesday, July 1. Initial findings suggest the Jeep was turning left from a parking lot onto Beverly Park Road when it crossed the path of an oncoming motorcycle. The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are investigating whether excessive speed by the motorcyclist contributed to the crash. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death, as well as the decedent’s identity.
