Woman injured in stabbing after verbal dispute in Arlington escalates

ARLINGTON—On September 9, 2025, at approximately 10:57 a.m., the Arlington Police Department responded to a reported stabbing incident at the 4900 block of 168th Street. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a female victim with a stab wound. The victim was promptly transported to Providence Hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, her injuries have been assessed as non-life-threatening.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident arose from a verbal altercation between two females, which escalated into a physical confrontation. A male intervened during this altercation when he perceived that one of the females was in danger. During this intervention, the female reportedly sustained a stab wound from another female; this injury has been classified as accidental. 

The male suspect involved in this incident is currently in police custody and has been transported to Snohomish County Jail, where he is being booked on charges of unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree assault.

Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are still in the process of gathering evidence and witness statements. Investigators will continue to evaluate all aspects of this case.
