Mayor-elect Hoffman announces appointment of new City Administrator

SNOHOMISH—Mayor-Elect Aaron Hoffman announced Wednesday, December 17, his intent to appoint Ken Klein as the next City Administrator for the City of Snohomish, pending Council confirmation in January. If approved, he will replace Heather Thomas.

Klein currently serves as an Executive Director in Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers’ office and brings extensive experience in public administration.

“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve the City of Snohomish and thankful to Mayor-Elect Hoffman for inviting me to join his team,” said Klein. “Local government works best when employees, residents, and leaders work together toward a shared vision informed by open and transparent feedback.”

“I believe Ken’s experience, temperament, and collaborative approach will be a strong asset to both City staff and the community,” said Hoffman

In the same message to the council and staff, Hoffman emphasized his commitment to teamwork, communication, and fiscal stewardship.

“I am honored to be serving as the next Mayor of Snohomish,” said Hoffman. “I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff. My goal is to build on the strong foundation of professionalism and experience with clarity, teamwork, and mutual respect.”
