MUKILTEO– The City of Mukilteo announced this week that it is seeking applicants to fill the unexpired term of City Council Position No. 5 that was vacated when former City Councilmember Mike Dixon resigned due to increased professional demands and growing family commitments.

“I would like to thank Council Member Dixon for stepping up to serve the residents of Mukilteo. His service and dedication to the City of Mukilteo will have a lasting impact on our community,” said Mukilteo Mayor Joe Marine. “We wish him all the best.”
Deadline to apply for the position is Sunday, April 26, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. PST. Additional information and the application are available on the City’s website or contact Karen Hunt, communications and outreach coordinator, at khunt@mukilteowa.gov or (425) 263-8018.
The Mayor and City Council will interview applicants at an upcoming City Council Meeting,

We encourage our fellow Mukilteo residents to consider applying for City Council Position No. 5,” said Mayor Marine. “We are looking for people with a strong connection to our community and an interest in serving the public.”
To be eligible to be appointed to the vacant position, the applicant must be a registered voter in Mukilteo and must have been a resident of Mukilteo for at least one year prior to appointment.
