Lynnwood man dies in pub shooting, suspect charged with murder

LYNNWOOD — A 38-year-old Lynnwood man died days after being shot at a local pub and grill, Lynnwood Police announced on Thursday evening. Mecos Oneal succumbed to his injuries on April 15, five days after the shooting at Just Left Pub and Grill located at 4308 198th Street SW.

Officers were dispatched to the pub at 10:01 p.m. April 10. Oneal was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center.

Joseph Raymond, 44, was arrested in Marysville and booked into the Snohomish County Jail. He remains in custody facing charges of first-degree assault and second-degree murder. Bail is set at $500,000.

Lynnwood detectives are asking anyone who was at Just Left Pub and Grill or in the immediate area between 9:30 p.m. and 10:01 p.m. on April 10 to contact them at crimetips@Lynnwoodwa.gov with any information.

Oneal’s family described him as a kind and outgoing person who was a friend to everyone he met. He was a devoted father, son, brother and husband, and a valued part of his community. A man of God whose faith was important to him.

Oneal coached his children’s soccer team and was a passionate supporter of the Seattle Sounders. He loved cooking, playing video games and following sports, and was known for his fast typing skills.

“Above all, he loved his family deeply, especially his children,” the family said in a statement who asked for privacy during their period of grief.
