MONROE—Head-on collision early Saturday morning approximately two-and-a-half miles east of Monroe on US-2 leaves three dead and one injured, WSP reports.

Shortly after midnight on April 18, a black 2015 Cadillac SRXÂ driven by Jose Herandez-Ibanez, 26 of Tacoma, heading westbound on US-2 collided head-on with a black 2004 Dodge Dakota, heading eastbound driven by MaryAnne Craig, 33 of Gold Bar.
Herandez-Ibanez’s vehicle struck Craig’s truck as he attempted to pass an uninvolved vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest on their respective shoulders.
Herandez-Ibanez, along with MaryAnne Criag and her passenger Dylon Craig, 33 also of Gold Bar were pronounced deceased at the scene by first responders. Bernardo Hernandez-Guzman, 28 of Tacoma and passenger of Herandez-Ibanez, was the only survivor and was transported to Providence Hospital.
All persons involved in the fatal accident wore seatbelts. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs contributed to the incident which is under investigation.
