EDMONDS– For 68 years, the Edmonds Arts Festival has filled the city with art, energy, and community—and now, you’re invited to be part of what makes it all happen. Volunteer applications for 2026 are officially open, offering a chance to step inside one of Edmonds’ most beloved traditions and experience the Festival from a whole new perspective.

The festival runs June 19–21, 2026, with additional opportunities in the days before and after the event. Most shifts are approximately three hours long, and roles are available to fit a wide range of interests, schedules, and comfort levels. Whether you love working with kids, chatting with visitors, supporting artists, or simply want to be useful and meet great people, there is a spot with your name on it.

Available volunteer roles for 2026:
Volunteer opportunities are open to both returning participants and those new to the Festival. Most shifts are approximately three hours long, with a variety of roles available to match different interests, schedules, and experience levels. Volunteers ages 16–17 may participate with a parent or adult sibling; adults 18 and older may volunteer independently. Volunteering is a great way to meet others in the community, support local artists, and be part of a longstanding Edmonds tradition.
- Artist Booth Relief – Provide short breaks for artists by watching their booths and assisting with light needs.
- Field Setup and Teardown – Help prepare Festival spaces before opening and assist with breakdown after the event.
- Gallery Arts – Support indoor gallery spaces by greeting visitors and helping monitor artwork.
- Kids Create – Assist with hands-on art activities for children and families.
- Festival Store – Help customers with purchases of Festival merchandise.
- Hospitality – Support food and refreshment coordination for artists and volunteers.
- Information Booth – Answer questions and help visitors navigate the Festival.
- Performing Arts – Assist with stage areas and help performances run smoothly.
- Student Art – Help showcase and supervise student artwork displays.
- Volunteer Check-In – Welcome volunteers, provide instructions, and assist with coordination.
- Edmonds Arts Plaza – Support activities and installations in the outdoor plaza area.

Now entering its 69th year, the Edmonds Arts Festival is one of the longest-running and most beloved arts festivals in the Pacific Northwest, celebrating visual arts, music, student creativity, and community along the shores of Puget Sound. The 2026 Edmonds Arts Festival will take place Father’s Day weekend, June 19-21st at Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main Street, Edmonds, WA 98020. The Edmonds Arts Festival has grown from a small community art fair to one of the most prestigious in the Pacific Northwest, attracting artists from across the nation and Canada. The Festival provides a unique opportunity for patrons to meet artists and purchase their work in a beautiful outdoor setting overlooking Puget Sound. The Festival offers free live entertainment, a juried gallery art exhibition and sale, a nationally-recognized juried student art exhibit, and a hands-on children’s art activity area.
