Janice Ashenbrenner passed away on April 13, 2026, in Arlington WA. She was born on March 19, 1942, in Seattle to Larry and Elizabeth Webb.

Ashenbrenner

Janice spent much of her life in the Seattle area, graduating from Lincoln High in 1960, and working for over 30 years in the insurance brokerage field.  She could take shorthand at over 100 words per minute! She married Robert Ashenbrenner in 1963 and complained about the length of her last name ever after!  After retiring, she volunteered at the Lynnwood Police and Fire Departments.

She enjoyed family, shopping, country music, reading and traveling.  Although she never had children of her own, her extended family was very important to her.  She enjoyed hearing news about each of them and attending special events whenever possible.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her two brothers, Larry Webb, and Steven Webb.  She is survived by her closest cousin and caregiver, Cathie Wyman, and 15 other first cousins – most in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.

Her family would like to give special thanks to George and Pauline Nyaga for their loving care in her final years.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to The Asher House, honoring her fondness for her pets, or to Continuum Care (Hospice) of Snohomish County.

Services will be held at Floral Hills Cemetery in Lynnwood WA, on May 15th at noon.
