Children aged 8-12 are also welcome to participate in a monthly ‘book club’ just for them!  There will be fun activities centered around the book-of-the-month to help participants engage in the fun of sharing books.  This month, instead of one book there is a theme: time travel.  Young readers may choose any book that has to do with time-travelling and join the group on May 31st for some fun activities!

Some suggested books are:  Erin Entrada Kelly’s Newbery Award-winner, “First State of Being;”  “DaVinci’s Cat” by Catherine Gilbert Murdock; “The Secret Library” by Kekla Magoon; any book from Mary Pope Osborne’s  “Magic Treehouse” series; any of James Patterson/Tad Safran’s “Time Travel Twins” series, and more!

All middle-grade readers are welcome to attend with an adult, as this is not a drop-off event. The book group will last about half an hour.

More information about this and other bookish events is available on the Edmonds Bookshop website www.edmondsbookshop.com and social media (FaceBook and Instagram.)
