EVERETT — Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC), in partnership with the Snohomish County Committee for Improved Transportation (SCCIT), will convene regional leaders, transportation stakeholders, and industry partners for the US 2 Trestle Coalition Roundtable on Tuesday, May 26, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Community Transit, in Everett

US 2 Trestle

The roundtable is intended to serve as a catalyst for building a coordinated regional cadence focused on improving mobility between Everett and Lake Stevens and advancing long-term replacement of the US 2 Trestle.

The event will bring together elected officials, transportation agencies, and community leaders to align around shared priorities and next steps for one of Snohomish County’s most critical transportation corridors. The morning agenda will include a Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) overview, a moderated panel discussion, and a collaborative roundtable conversation centered on infrastructure investment, mobility, resiliency, and regional connectivity.

Confirmed panel participants include Marko Liias (21st Legislative District), Chair of the Washington State Senate Transportation Committee; Cassie Franklin, Mayor of the City of Everett; Sam Low (39th Legislative District), Assistant Ranking Member of the Washington State House Transportation Committee; Nathan Packard, Councilmember for the City of Lake Stevens; Cameron Kukes, Northwest Region Administrator for WSDOT; and Kelly Snyder, Director of Snohomish County Public Works.

“An improved US 2 corridor and trestle will play an important role in strengthening regional connectivity as light rail expands to Everett,” says Ray Stephanson, president and CEO of Economic Alliance Snohomish County. “This roundtable is an opportunity to bring partners together, identify common priorities and begin building stronger regional alignment around the future of the corridor.”

Industry organizations including ACEC and AGC are also being engaged to help ensure strong participation and input from the engineering, design, and contracting communities.

The event is free to attend, but advance RSVP is requested. Breakfast sandwiches and coffee will be provided. To register, visit: https://bit.ly/Trestle_Roundtable.
