Port of Everett Reveals 2026 Sail-In Cinema Lineup for free movies at Boxcar Park

EVERETT – The Port of Everett, along with signature sponsor PND Engineers, invites the community and waterfront visitors to join us for another season of Sail-In Cinema – now in its 11th year!

This FREE, family-friendly waterfront movie series takes place every Friday night at Boxcar Park, kicking off July 24 and running through August 21, 2026.

Watch your pick of five movies on a 40-foot inflatable screen this summer. The marquee is set to feature some favorite flicks from the last decade along with a few new titles. A soccer classic to keep the World Cup energy high, superheroes, sci-fi adventures, and fun characters make up the lineup this year.

Kids’ activities and concessions are available an hour before showtime, and movies begin following sunset. Come early to snag your spot on the lawn and grab a bag of FREE popcorn. Boating in is also an option at nearby guest docks.

“Join us at Boxcar Park to snag the best seat in the house and enjoy free entertainment most Friday nights at Snohomish County’s destination waterfront,” Catherine Soper, Chief of Business Development & Tourism said. “We’re proud to offer this public program to families in the area and whether you’re looking for comedy, adventure, sci-fi, or some classic characters, there is something for everyone at Sail-In Cinema this year.”

The Port of Everett hosted the inaugural Sail-In Cinema in July 2016 as part of its effort to activate the waterfront and unify boating and upland uses, while visions of the future redevelopment at Waterfront Place began to move forward. The Port encourages moviegoers to come early to grab dinner at one of our waterfront restaurants and explore Waterfront Place – or make a weekend of it, booking at stay at one of our on-site waterfront hotels.

Know Before You Go

Boxcar Park opens one hour before showtime for moviegoers to snag their spot on the lawn, enjoy music and yard games, grab free popcorn and check out concessions available for purchase.

Pack in low-back chairs and picnic blankets to the park. Don’t forget to dress in layers; it gets chilly (and often windy) on the waterfront at night.

Boaters – make a weekend out of it. You can boat into the Port of Everett Marina and moor at any of the Port’s Guest Docks. Guest moorage is available on a first-come, first-served basis or by reservation via DockWA. Limited movie viewing is possible from North Guest Dock 7, but we encourage you to walk up, as the viewing experience is best from the park.

In the event of inclement weather, a movie night may be canceled. Cancellations will be posted on the Port’s website, Facebook and Instagram platforms.
