MARYSVILLE— A 55-year-old Everett man is deceased due to a two-car head-on collision that occurred just before 1 p.m. this afternoon in the 13200 block of Smokey Point Blvd.
Marysville PD Officers and fire personnel arrived on-scene and learned a Chevrolet Suburban had struck a Ford F-250 truck. The driver of the pickup was found to be deceased at the scene. His passenger, a 30-year-old female was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Suburban, a 32-year-old Arlington woman, and her three children, ages 8 and two 1-year-olds, were all transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Smokey Point Blvd. was closed between 128th St. and 136th St. in both directions due to the collision and will remained closed until members of the Marysville Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) have completed their investigation.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will release information regarding the deceased.
The investigation is ongoing.
