SNOHOMISH COUNTY—With 21.91% of registered voters casting ballots (119,602 ballots cast out of 545,953 registered voters), Snohomish County voters decided a slate of local funding measures and narrowed fields for state legislative seats heading into the November general election.

The Sno-Isle Intercounty Rural Library District Property Tax Levy Lid Lift is passing with 56.34% of the vote. In Legislative District 32, Cindy Ryu and Jesse Saloman advanced as the top vote-getter in the State Senate race. Danica Noble and Keith Scully topped the field for Legislative District 32 Representative Position 1. Strom Peterson led Legislative District 21 Representative Position 1. Republican Steve Ewing and Robert Sutherland are battling neck-and-neck for the second slot in Legislative District 39 Representative Position 2. [CORRECTION 9:45 AM, 8/5/26: Originally it was reported incorrectly that Lisa Rezac advanced to the General Election in LD32].

Results remain unofficial as ballot counting continues; the county is scheduled to certify results on August 18. Next update is scheduled for Aug. 5, 2026 at 4 p.m.

Ballot Propositions

City of Everett Proposition No. 1 – Emergency Medical Services Levy Lid Lift

Restores the City’s emergency medical services (EMS) levy.

• Result: Approved 74.88% (8,556 votes) / Rejected 25.12% (2,870 votes)

City of Stanwood Proposition No. 1 – Sales and Use Tax for Enhanced Public Safety Services

Implements a one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) sales and use tax to fund enhanced public safety services.

• Result: Yes 61.46% (834 votes) / No 38.54% (523 votes)

Darrington School District No. 330 Proposition No. 1 – Replacement of Expiring Educational Programs and Operations Levy

Authorizes a four-year replacement levy to fund educational programs and operations not fully funded by the state, including teaching, student support, nurses, counselors, textbooks, transportation, security, and extracurricular activities. Collects up to $950,000 annually from 2027–2030 at estimated rates of $1.24 to $1.02 per $1,000 of assessed value.

• Result: Levy Yes 68.26% (529 votes) / Levy No 31.74% (246 votes) (simple majority required)

Fire Protection District No. 15 – Tax Levy for Maintenance and Operations

Authorizes a tax levy to finance maintenance and operation expenses.

• Result: Yes 74.96% (500 votes) / No 25.04% (167 votes) (simple majority required)

Fire Protection District No. 19 Proposition No. 1 – Emergency Medical Services Levy Lid Lift

Restores the District’s regular EMS property tax levy to $0.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation and authorizes a limit factor for the following five years.

• Result: Yes 54.93% (334 votes) / No 45.07% (274 votes) (simple majority required)

Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue Proposition No. 1 – Emergency Medical Services Levy Lid Lift

Restores the District’s emergency medical services property tax levy.

• Result: Approved 62.74% (13,093 votes) / Rejected 37.26% (7,776 votes) (simple majority required)

Public Hospital District No. 1 (EvergreenHealth Monroe) Proposition No. 1 – Bonds for New Replacement Hospital

Authorizes up to $382 million in general obligation bonds for a new replacement hospital and related health care facilities, repaid through annual excess property taxes.

• Result: Approved 55.39% (10,913 votes) / Rejected 44.61% (8,788 votes) (60% yes vote required to pass — measure fails)

Sno-Isle Intercounty Rural Library District Proposition No. 1 – Regular Property Tax Levy Lid Lift for Support of Public Library Services (Multi-county results)

Restores the regular property tax levy rate to $0.47 per $1,000 of assessed value for collection in 2027 to fund library services, operations, and maintenance.
