MARYSVILLE—A multi-agency search is underway for two remaining armed suspects involved in a Sunday morning shoot-out with a Marysville homeowner.
Three armed suspects in a stolen red Chevrolet Camaro from the city of Tukwila confronted a Marysville resident at his home, near 84th St NE and 41st Drive NE, who was also armed. Gunfire was exchanged between the parties striking multiple homes and vehicles. No one in the homes or vehicles was injured.
Marysville Police began receiving multiple 911 calls related to the incident after midnight at 12:12 a.m. on Sunday, February 4. The Marysville resident involved in the shoot-out was not injured.
The three suspects fled on foot, leading to a large-scale search where multiple K-9s and drones were used for several hours to locate the suspects.
The suspects attempted to steal several vehicles and break into several homes in the area. The suspects were successful in stealing a pick-up truck from a nearby residence, which was recovered that Sunday morning several blocks away and seized as evidence.
Officers took one suspect into custody several blocks away from the incident, with the assistance of Arlington K-9 Riggs. This suspect was suffering from a gunshot wound and was provided immediate aid by Maryville Fire District with assistance by the Everett Police Department.
One firearm was recovered during the initial search by a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Deputy. Two additional firearms were recovered later in the day thanks to Seattle Police Department’s K-9 Loki, an Explosives Detection K-9.
Of the two remaining suspects, one is a Hispanic or mixed-race male in his 20s with a medium build and about 5’10” tall. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a bright red jacket and a black covering over his head and face, only exposing his eyes. No description of the second remaining suspect has been released.
Officers did seize the stolen vehicle that the suspects arrived in and at this point do not know if the homeowner was targeted or was the victim of a random incident.
Marysville police announced that they are currently reviewing video footage to help in the investigation.
This is an active investigation. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If you have any information leading to the arrest of the two outstanding suspects, call the non-emergency number of the Marysville Police Department at 425-407-3999.
