MUKILTEO—Lombardi’s of Mill Creek is inviting guests to visit between now and Saturday, August 24, to say goodbye and enjoy your favorite Lombardi dish with us!
“We have loved serving the Mill Creek and North Bothell community over the last 12 years,” said Diane Symms. “Many guests have become long-time regulars and friends. Come and dine with us for more of your favorite Lombardi’s dishes and to say your goodbyes to our amazing team members who have helped to make this restaurant a vibrant place to dine and share with family and friends.”
Diane Symms, founder of Lombardi’s, and Kerri Lonergan Dreke, CEO, have sold the property occupied by Lombardi’s in Mill Creek. As the end of an era approaches, full retirement looms for Diane Symms. The property owned by Diane and Kerri has been a key component of Diane’s retirement strategy. Continuing to operate the restaurant as a tenant under new property owners would not be sustainable due to market lease rates in the Mill Creek area, along with spiraling restaurant operating costs.
Patrons of Lombardi’s in Mill Creek have a nearby option in Everett, at Lombardi’s scenic location at the Everett Marina. Additionally, seafood and steak lovers will be thrilled to learn that Lombardi’s Restaurant Group converted the former Arnie’s in Mukilteo restaurant space into its newest dining and hospitality concept, Hook & Cleaver.
Hook & Cleaver features fresh seafood, iron skillet-prepared steaks, and classic cocktails, served up in a warm and inviting ambiance with a panoramic view of Possession Sound.
Lombardi’s Restaurant Group (LRG) operates Lombardi’s Italian Restaurants, Hook & Cleaver in Mukilteo, Concept Catering by Lombardi’s, and Nature’s Connection in Arlington. Founded in 1987 in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, Lombardi’s has been a pillar of Italian dining in the Puget Sound region.

Sad to see Lombardi’s Mill Creek leave us. But, look forward to continuing to enjoy the delicious food of Lombardi’s on the Everett Waterfront and the newest restaurant Hook & Cleaver. Best of luck to Diane and Keri in all their endeavors!!!
Won’t be missed.
So you are closing because of spiraling restaurant operating costs and by selling the land now you can comfortably retire? So I have to assume that the restaurant was not making a profit either? Mmm..makes me wonder if the other two will close in the near future???
