Economic Alliance Snohomish County to host State of Everett on March 9

EVERETT, Wash., February 6, 2023Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC) will host the 2023 State of Everett event, taking place on Thursday, March 9, 2023. The event will feature Mayor Cassie Franklin’s annual address on the priorities that guide the City’s work, as well as updates on the City’s progress and future.

This year’s State of Everett event will provide two unique opportunities for residents and community members to hear directly from Mayor Franklin about the City’s accomplishments and initiatives. The main event, presented by the Boeing Company and Coastal Community Bank, will take place at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center from 3:30 to 6 p.m. In addition, community members will also be able to watch Mayor Franklin’s address in real time via a livestreaming event at the Evergreen Branch of the Everett Public Library. 

“The State of Everett address is an opportunity for us to celebrate the good things that have happened over the past year while also addressing the very real challenges our community is facing,” said Mayor Franklin. “I look forward to sharing my vision and plans for a more prosperous Everett.”

Economic Alliance Snohomish County President and CEO Garry Clark will provide the opening and closing remarks during the State of Everett event.

“The City of Everett is the core to the Snohomish County economic engine. As Everett grows the county benefits,” said Garry Clark, President and CEO of EASC. “We are honored to have the opportunity to collaborate and partner with Mayor Cassie Franklin, and the City of Everett, in a collective vision to make the City of Everett an international hub for advanced manufacturing, innovations in energy and aviation, and more.”

Attendees can register online for the main event at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center, located at 2000 Hewitt Avenue Everett, Wash. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. for networking and the Mayor’s address will start at 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 for EASC members and $30 for general admission.

The livestreaming event at the Evergreen Branch of the Everett Public Library, located a 9512 Evergreen Way in Everett will be free to attend and will not require registration. For more information, click here.
