Lynnwood, Wash., February 22, 2023—The public is invited to celebrate the grand opening of Nothing Bundt Cakes in Lynnwood with a Project Girl Mentoring Program Benefit Day and ribbon cutting on Friday, February 24, and free Confetti Bendlets on Saturday, February 25.
The year 2004 was an important one for Sushmitha “Sushmi” Chander and Rajendra “Raj” Suvarna. It was the year they got married and were first introduced to Nothing Bundt Cakes in Las Vegas.
“Experiencing Nothing Bundt Cakes was one of the first memories for us as a couple,” reflected Chander. “It’s incredible that all these years later we would be opening our very own bakery.”
Both with careers in healthcare, the two are community-oriented and have hearts for taking care of those around them.
“Our world continues to change, especially in the medical profession, and we wanted to connect to the community in a new way. Nothing Bundt Cakes’ purpose of sharing the recipe for happiness and success resonated with me,” said Suvarna. “The Lynnwood-Shoreline area is growing fast but still has a wonderful small-town feel. We have hired amazing people and are looking forward to sharing joy.”

- 10 a.m.-7 p.m. – Project Girl Mentoring Program Benefit Day – 20% of sales will be donated to Project Girl, an organization dedicated to fostering the advancement of young women of color to make positive life choices and to maximize their authentic potential.
- 4 p.m. – Ribbon Cutting with the Lynnwood Chamber of Commerce

- 10 a.m. – Free Confetti Bundtlets! (one per person, while supplies last)
