Deputies working for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault with weapons call around midnight Tuesday morning. When they arrived on scene, they located an adult male deceased inside where he was living at the Brio Condominium complex at 15415 35th Avenue West, just north of Lynnwood in the Picnic Point area of unincorporated Snohomish County and just half-a-mile from the 2021 shooting death of Tejpal Singh, who was murdered while working a shift at a Chevron station.

The latest unincorporated Lynnwood homicide victim was reportedly alone in the condominium when deputies arrived on scene.

The Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the case as a homicide but does not know what type of weapon was used for the murder yet.

Detectives are currently looking for potential witnesses, surveillance footage, and identifying any potential suspects. There is currently no suspect in custody the Sheriff’s Department said, nor witnesses although a nearby neighbor did phone in the 911 call.

Courtney O’Keefe, Public Information Officer for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department, said it is currently unknown if there is still any threat to the public or not. She continued that deputies are confident the attack was not random and seemed to be targeted toward the deceased individual.

It is also unknown whether the attack was gang related, or drug related.

This latest homicide follows the unrelated incident of an assault on Sunday, February 25, near Alderwood Mall that led to a police chase transpiring in a shootout near the 36th Avenue I-5 onramp.

This is a developing story. Please check back soon as more information becomes available.

  1. Violence is all arounds us. This homicide at 15300 35th Ave W. The recent vehicle assault of the teen in Lynnwood resulting in a pursuit, PIT maneuver, and gun battle, https://www.heraldnet.com/news/after-shootout-with-lynnwood-police-suspects-escape/ These are just a couple examples of the violence that has plagued our communities.
None of this is occurring because police refuse to do their jobs.
All of it is the collateral damage done to the security and safety of our communities because of years recent rulings to tie the hands of police to pursue and arrest criminals. This coupled with liberal approaches to making criminals by releasing them back into the community to commit more crimes instead of accountability.
This isn’t isolated to Snohomish Co, it is the soft approach to deal with criminals and the crimes they commit, especially in King County. Yes, King County is the softest on crime in the state and criminals don’t have borders so they commute to other areas to commit their crimes.
If you want to know how to fix this, call your state legislature and demand to untie the hands of police. For them to support police and give them the authority once again to pursue dangerous criminals. https://letsgowashington.com/i-2113/
If you want it safe again and the legislature ignores your plead, then vote them out.
