Friday’s event will be a fundraising reception for the Biden Victory Fund. The exact time and location of the event have yet to be announced to the public and is only disclosed to attendees upon RSVP. The Northwest Progressive Institute reports that tickets for the event start at $500 and for those willing to donate a minimum of $25,000, they will have the opportunity to get a photo with President Biden.

Downtown Seattle drivers should expect travel delays and may want to consider alternate routes Friday evening.

Biden’s last visit to Washington state was on Earth Day, April 22, 2022, where he signed an executive order to strengthen the country’s forests, boost wildfire resistance, and combat deforestation. The order was signed at Seattle’s Seward Park, as part of Biden’s first visit to the Pacific Northwest since taking office.

After leaving Seattle, the President traveled to Green River College, in Auburn, to talk about lowering costs for American families through affordable health care, affordable prescription drugs, and nationwide access to high-speed internet.

Biden’s visit comes just weeks after the latest presidential election poll for Washington state conducted April 16 through 23 by The Bullfinch Group, has the presumptive Republican nominee, Donald J Trump, in a statistical tie with President Biden in a 5-way race.

According to the poll, which is sponsored by The Independent Center, Trump leads with 40%, to Biden’s 35%, Robert F Kennedy Jr (I) is at 13%, Jill Stein (G) is at 4%, and Cornel West (I) came in at 1%, and approximately 8% of respondents were unsure who they would be voting for president. The poll was an online survey of 250 registered voters in Washington state with a margin of error for the poll at ±6.2%.

However, polling in a 2-way race in Washington state has Biden leading with a considerable margin against Trump.

The two consecutive Democratic-funded polls by the Northwest Progressive Institute conducted on November 14, 2023, and February 13, 2024, has Biden at 52% and 54% respectively to Trump’s 38%; whereas, the Republican-funded poll by Concerned Taxpayers of Washington State (PAC) conducted on March 18, 2024, has Biden at 48% to Trump’s 37% in Washington state.
