Lynnwood City Council calls Special Meeting to reconsider appointment

LYNNWOOD—The Lynnwood City Council announced today it is calling a Special Business Meeting for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, to consider rescinding the appointment of Jessica Ann Roberts to the council. Roberts was appointed to the council on Monday, March 10, to fill the Position 5 vacancy left by Julieta Altamirano-Crosby

The notice from the City Council reads: “A Special Business Meeting will be called to order in City Council Chambers located at 19100 44th Ave W, Lynnwood Washington 98036. The purpose of the meeting is to hold an Executive Session to discuss the qualifications of a candidate for elective office, decide whether to rescind the appointment of a candidate to the vacant Council Position #5, previously approved at the March 10, 2025, City Council Business Meeting, and to discuss next steps in the vacancy appointment process.”

Shortly after it was posted to the Lynnwood Times’ social media accounts on Monday evening of Roberts’ appointment, it was revealed, by members of the public, that Roberts is an OnlyFans model and expresses extremely explicit and dehumanizing viewpoints about women on various Reddit subchannels.

OnlyFans is a subscription-based social media platform primarily known for allowing creators to share content—often explicit.

Going by the name Jessica (@jaroberts1501) on OnlyFans, her profile caption reads, “A bisexual transwoman with itty bitty titties and a big girl cock. Cum have a fun time with meeee

Roberts told the Lynnwood Times that she created the OnlyFans account to help boost her self-confidence “while making a little cash on the side.”

Roberts did not confirm nor deny if she is a sex worker but had this to say, “Sex workers live, work and pay taxes in their municipalities, counties, state, and federal government, while also contributing to their communities every day in ways not related to their work. They absolutely deserve the opportunity to represent their communities just as much as anyone works in any other job across our city.”

A Reddit user by the name of ThatTransBisch (u/Other_Aardvark_6105) appears to belong to newly appointed Council Member Jessica Ann Roberts.

The profile was created on September 14, 2021, and contains pictures (some explicit) of the newly appointed council member along with kink and fetish commentary referring to women as “prey”, “grabbing a pretty girl and using her as breeding pet,” and be a woman’s “professor/teacher/babysitter” while she [allegedly Roberts] “breeds” her.

Comments and postings in various subreddit channels allegedly by Roberts reveal an obsession with “breeding” women and transwomen, referring to herself as a “pred” (short for predator) and wanting to share them (fellow women) with “fellow trans fems” after she is allegedly impregnated by Roberts.

At Monday’s meetings, the final two candidates to fill the council vacancy were Army combat veteran and Program Manager at Amazon, Robert Leutwyler, and Customer Service Representative Jessica Ann Roberts. The vote was tied 3-3 for each candidate which resulted in the council going into Executive Session.

Council members Josh Binda, Derica Escamilla, and David Parshall were resolute on appointing Roberts. Council members Patrick Decker, George Hurst, and Nick Coelho voted for Leutwyler. After multiple Executive Sessions, the vote was unanimous for Roberts, 6-0.

Councilman David Parshall, who supported Roberts’ appointment to the council, shared with the Lynnwood Times that while she was not his top pick, but “I was proud to support a woman for this position, and believed she would bring an important voice to the council.”

However, after recent social media comments allegedly by Roberts were discovered by members of the public, Parshall is processing this new information.

“However, her newly discovered social media comments, particularly those pertaining to the treatment of women,” Parshall wrote, “Display a character that is not in alignment with the expectations that I have for a fellow council member.”

In a statement to the Lynnwood Times, Roberts shared that the concerns the council may have are understandable but will not impact her ability to “do the job” nor “serve my fellow residents.”

“The Lynnwood City Council’s decision to meet on Thursday is the members doing their due diligence,” wrote Councilwoman-appointed Roberts to the Lynnwood Times. “While I appreciate, and understand the concern, regarding the revelations around my personal life, this would not impact my ability to do the job I was appointed to do or my ability to serve my fellow residents.”

To rescind a vote a councilmember who voted in the affirmative must make the motion to reconsider the vote to appoint Roberts. If majority of the council members agree, then a vote is taken to rescind the appointment of Roberts.

If the vote fails, Roberts will be sworn in at the City Council Work Session at 6 p.m. on March 17 at Lynnwood City Hall. If the vote fails, the council will then discuss next steps in filling the vacancy or vote for a new appointment. The council has until April 5 to appoint a person to Position 5 or the matter will be handed to the Snohomish County Council.

The Lynnwood Times did reach out to Roberts for a comment on the Council’s decision to reconsider her appointment which we will post when
