EDMONDS—Children aged 8-12 are welcome to participate in Edmonds Bookshop’s monthly ‘book club’ just for them! There will be fun activities to help participants engage in the fun of sharing books. This month, instead of one book there is a theme: Animals as main characters. Young readers may choose any book that has an animal as the main character, then join the group on June 28th for some fun activities!

Some suggested books are: “Odder” or “Wombat Waiting” by Katherine Applegate; “Pax” by Sara Pennypacker; “Eyes and the Impossible” by Dave Eggers; The Tuck and Tina series by Jess Brallier & Jack Keely; The InvestiGATORS Series by John Patrick Green – including the newest book “Weather or Not” – there are so many good choices! All middle-grade readers are welcome to attend with an adult, as this is not a drop-off event. The book group will last about half an hour.
More information about this and other bookish events is available on the Edmonds Bookshop website www.edmondsbookshop.com and social media (FaceBook and Instagram.)
