The family-owned restaurant group has three other locations, Cava Azul Cocina & Cantina in Woodinville Wine Country, and Agave Cocina & Cantina in Redmond and in Kent Station. Owner Julian Ramos has been in the restaurant business since 2002. The younger generation has grown up in the family’s restaurants, he said, and are now rising through the ranks. His nephew, Alejandro, and son, Esteban, will be managing the new location at the Port of Everett’s Waterfront Place.

“We’re so excited to be in Everett at Waterfront Place,” Marina Azul Owner Julian Ramos said. “The feedback from our guests has been very positive, and we truly appreciate the warm welcome. As a team, we hope to continue meeting — and exceeding — the expectations of the community in this amazing location.”

Marina Azul Cocina & Cantina brings a refined mix of authentic Mexican cuisine and an extensive selection of sipping tequilas and craft cocktails, fulfilling the Port’s vision in bringing a new flavor and modern dining option to Waterfront Place. Fresh handmade tacos, specialty margaritas, curated cocktails, and more all served in front of a stunning waterfront views, or from their exclusive, covered patio that lets diners enjoy dining al-fresco year-round. The restaurant also offers many gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. The restaurant offers fresh, flavorful takes on Mexican favorites and innovations such as the Birria Ramen Bowl and Roast Fresh Corn Ribs – the latter of which is caramelized with garlic butter and baja spice blend.

“We’re excited to welcome Marina Azul Cocina & Cantina to Restaurant Row at Waterfront Place,” Port of Everett CEO/Executive Director Lisa Lefeber said. “Their vibrant menu, family-friendly atmosphere, and stunning outdoor patio – especially their marina views – make this a great addition to our growing lineup in Fisherman’s Harbor. It’s going to be a great summer here at the Port.”

Bright murals and mosaics inside, along with floor-to-ceiling windows along the marina esplanade give the interior a light, airy feel, while the spacious outdoor patio lets diners enjoy their meals with a beautiful view.

Marina Azul is the newest addition to Restaurant Row at Waterfront Place in a wave of recent openings that included Menchie’s at the Marina, Tapped at the Port, The Net Shed, and Rustic Cork Wine Bar in early 2026 and in late 2025, joining South Fork Baking Company and Fisherman Jack’s, which opened their doors in 2023.

The Port is searching for a breakfast and brunch café to take the last remaining spot in the new building.
