LYNNWOOD—A man is dead after suffering multiple gunshot wounds at a Lynnwood gas station Sunday night. Another man, who is believed to be connected to the shooting, has been brought into custody.

Lynnwood Police Officers responded to reports fired at the Shell gas station, located on 44th Avenue West and 200th Street Southwest, Sunday, August 23, around 11 p.m.
Responding officers found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the Police Department said. Though they administered lifesaving efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Another adult male – who is believed to be connected to the shooting – was located by Lynwood Police and brought into custody at the scene.
Detectives are currently investigating the incident, including what transpired leading up to the shooting.

This is the second murder in Lynnwood in 2026, after Mecos Oneal was killed in a shooting outside Just Left Pub & Grill back in April.
Another murder took place back in March when a 72-year-old man was killed by his 75-year-old roommate at a residence in Larch Way, though this was technically in unincorporated Snohomish County.
Lynnwood saw the highest recorded murder rate in 2022 with 5 reported murders.
