MARYSVILLE, Wash., August 7, 2023—The City of Marysville welcomes Jennifer Ferrer-Santa Ines as its new Finance Director. She has spent her career in local government finance, most recently as Director of Finance/Budget for the City of Yakima. Prior to that, Ferrer-Santa Ines worked for the cities of Normandy Park, Tukwila and Burien.
“Jennifer brings a wealth of experience and talent to our Finance team and the City,” said Gloria Hirashima, Marysville’s Chief Administrative Officer. “She is very interested in using technology to increase public access to financial information and tools and to increase productivity, which reinforce the City’s priorities for financial transparency and return on public investment.”
Ferrer-Santa Ines earned a master’s degree in Accounting/Finance from City University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Central Washington University. She is a past president of the Puget Sound Finance Officers Association, a graduate of the Northwest Women’s Leadership Academy and a current candidate for Senior Executive Institute.
