LYNNWOOD, Wash., July 7, 2023—An eighteen-year-old suspect is in custody for a shooting incident that took place outside a Lynnwood 7-eleven, Friday morning, that left one man injured. Three other suspects are still at large, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said, and were last seen in the South Everett area.
The shooting incident took place around 2:50 a.m at the 7-eleven near 148th Street Southwest and Highway 99 in Lynnwood. The convenience store is located just 500 feet from the Chevron Gas Station where store clerk Tejpal Singh, 60, was shot and killed in 2021. Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office confirmed with the Lynnwood Times that Signh’s murder is still being investigated and no suspect has been arrested.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the four individuals involved in Friday mornings shooting were seen stealing merchandise from the convenience store when they were then confronted by a customer who attempted to intervene. The four suspects fled the scene, firing shots at the victim which struck him on the leg in the parking lot outside of the store.

The 38-year-old victim was immediately transported to Providence Regional Medical Center. As of the publication of this article his condition is unknown.
Deputies working for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office located the suspect’s vehicle shortly after and pursued the suspects into Everett where their car crashed into another vehicle near 35th and Grand Avenue.Deputies commenced a foot pursuit of all four suspects, apprehending one who is currently in-custody. The three other suspects fled on foot and are currently at large.
A K-9 unit working with the Sheriff’s Office was deployed near Sequoia High School to track the remaining suspects.
